Walletron Advances Speedpay® Platform with Bills in Mobile Wallet

Speedpay now offers Walletron moBills™, enabling biller clients to present personalized notifications, bill information, and a streamlined payment experience to customers’ smartphones – without customers ever needing to download an app.
Speedpay established its relationship with Walletron to augment its service, designed to help billers meet growing consumer demand to receive electronic bills through their smartphones. Walletron will deliver new capabilities to participating Speedpay clients, which include enterprises across the mortgage, auto-finance, insurance and utility industries.
Walletron moBills operates within the native mobile wallets on the leading smartphone operating systems – Apple Wallet on iOS, and Android Pay on Android. Apple Wallet and Android Pay are well known for housing credit cards for payment, but these wallets have for years supported other types of digital cards like membership cards, boarding passes and coupons. moBills delivers a new use case – a “billing card” for customers centrally available and always up to date on their smartphone.
When a customer needs to pay the bill, they simply tap “Pay My Bill” within their mobile wallet. They are then automatically presented an active session on a Speedpay-powered website, and the wallet handles the authentication. From there, the customer finishes the payment process. In essence, bills can be paid with just a few taps, with no username and password to remember or key in. When a customer has the moBills card in their wallet, they can view current bill information, update notification preferences, view a copy of past bills, and access their account page.

There is no application to search for in the App Store and install. Apple Wallet already exists on every iPhone in the world, and Android Pay is native to the latest versions of the Android operating system. To enroll, customers can simply click on “Save to Apple Wallet/Android Pay” from their biller’s website or even in email.
